Since we launched this website in the winter of 2015, I’ve had a tough time putting my finger on what exactly DriverMod.ca is. I always knew it wasn’t meant to be a Car & Driver copy cat – there’s enough of those. I’ve always enjoyed the wit of Jalopnik but they’re far too newsy. Road & Track possesses phenomenal story-telling ability but it’s a little too serious and doesn’t pay enough attention to the modified car scene. The result of that indecision is the website you see today; a myriad of different ideas and styles of storytelling. There’s another less-journalistic idea I’ve toyed with – starting a time attack series. There are a few obvious reasons why that’s remained nothing more than a pipe-dream:
- Money
- Money
- Money
Luckily for us, the world is ending. That means one thing – real racers have turned their attention to sim racing as a safe, virus-free alternative. Running a sim racing series is something we can afford. So without further adieu, I’m proud to announce the 2020 DriverMod Sim Endurance eRacing Series!
What you’ll need:
-
- Assetto Corsa (for PC – sorry PS4 friends)
- A PC capable of running it (it doesn’t take much)
- Optional but recommended: a racing wheel.
- Two free hours every Monday at 8 pm.
